Group Rides

Group rides are listed in calendar and upcoming views on your right. All participants must complete the ride waiver form for HBL Sponsored Rides.

Important information for the Hawaii Bicycling League's sponsored rides:

• All HBL members receive Accidental Medical Coverage: $10,000 per person per accident excess of a $500 per claim deductible and excess of any other valid and collectible insurance
• Accidental Death & Dismemberment: $5,000 per person per accident.
• All Ride Leaders receive liability insurance.
• All rides sponsored by the Hawaii Bicycling League will require HBL members to sign a release waiver.  This release waiver may be signed once a year by HBL members and will be kept on file and then renewed each year with membership renewal.
• All non-HBL members must sign a release waiver each and every time they participate in a Hawaii Bicycling League sponsored ride.
• Anyone serving as a Ride Leader will be provided training and quarterly meetings to assist them and provide them the appropriate support in serving as a Hawaii Bicycling League ride leader.

Commuter Network

The 2009 Commuter Challenge is open! We're using www.bikejournal.com to track our Commuter Challenge participants, and mapmyride.com to give riders general commuting routes from different areas of the island.

Education Resources

Bicycling Street Smarts has published an online book on riding safely. While we highly encourage you to take part in our Adult Education classes when offered, this is a robust 46-page resource that will help you ride more safely.
