Say Hello to the First Edition of the Oahu Bike Map!
Your buddy that knows all the great routes to have fun getting around by bike!
A giant part of safely enjoying riding is carefully selecting your route. This map includes bike lanes, protected bike lanes, multi-use paths, Shared Road Low-Stress, Shared Road Moderate-Stress, and High-Stress Connections. Shared Road Low-Stress and Shared Road Moderate-Stress designations capture streets that cyclists rely heavily on; we turned to over 50 cyclists from all around the island to determine these, but keep in mind that this is inherently subjective. The most important point is to know your own comfort level and choose the route that’s best for you.
How To Get One:
- Visit Your Favorite Local Bike Shop to Buy One – The Oahu Bike Map is available at: Bikeadelic, BikeFactory Honolulu, BikeFactory Waipio, EBikes Hawaii, Eki Cyclery, Island Triathlon & Bike, McCully Bicycle and Sporting Goods, The Bike Shop Aiea, The Bike Shop Honolulu, and The Bike Shop Kailua.
- Buy It at the HBL Online Store – It’s $5, plus shipping if needed. That said, we’d much prefer you become a HBL member and get one as part of your membership packet! Also, note that most of the bike shops sell the maps for less than $5, so consider going to your local bike shop instead of ordering online. *Update 12/10/2018 – We have a very limited stock left of printed O’ahu Bike Maps. Get yours before they sell out!
- Digital Version Available – A digital version (PDF) of the Oahu Bike Map is available below – just click on either of the maps. If you’re looking to print it, keep in mind the actual size is 28″x14″.
Allows Improving – Comments Encouraged
This is the first edition, please provide your comments so we can make the second edition even better. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with comments. We’re working on setting up the webpage so that everyone’s comments will be visible, so that readers can benefit from this knowledge before it goes into print with the second edition.
Like with everything we do at HBL, this map is to empower you to ride more!
