BikeEd Bike Assembly Party
Did you know that HBL’s BikeEd Programreaches over 8,000 keiki each year? We have two teams that go into schools all over O’ahu to help teach keiki about safe bike riding and the rules of the road! Every two years we purchase bikes for our team and need to get them assembled before school starts! We will be meeting on July 28th from 8:00am-12:00pm to assemble the bikes! It will be a lot of fun and we will provide food and drinks for all our volunteers that can help.
To RSVP for the bike assembly party, head here: www.volunteersignup.org/3DXXE
National Night Out Bike Rodeo
We are having a bike rodeo at the Hickam AFB National Night out on August 7th from 3:00pm-7:30pm! We are looking for a few volunteers to help conduct the safety briefings, helmet fitting and talk about how awesome HBL is!
To volunteer please head here: www.volunteersignup.org/4LH48
HBL Ambassador Training
There are many events that we are asked to be a part of but regrettably have to turn down because we don’t have enough staff to be there! That’s where (cue the drum roll) HBL AMBASSADORS come to the rescue! HBL Ambassadors are awesome people who are dialed into the happenings of HBL and can pass out relevant information to interested people at events & tabling opportunities. We will be having our first training on
August 22nd (Tue), 5:30-7:30pm @ the HBL Office.
To RSVP for the training, head here: www.volunteersignup.org/QMFHW
Lei of Parks
The Lei of Parks Family Day is on Saturday September 1st from 9:30am-2:00pm and will be a fun day of walking, biking, enjoying, and celebrating some of Honolulu’s most beautiful parks and the “lei” of pathways that ties them together. We are looking for volunteers to help set up a HBL table to spread the word about HBL and answer any questions participants might have!

Volunteers Needed: Many!

Time Commitment: Varying times, there are also volunteer positions for those riding in the event!
The Honolulu Century Ride (HCR) is the largest cycling event in the state! In order to have a successful and fun event for all riders, volunteers, spectators, and staff, HBL looks towards it’s wonderful volunteers to make it happen without a hitch. At most, riders can ride 100 miles in the event and be treated to snacks and refreshments along the way at the various Aid Stations on the course. There are other mileage options for those that want to go 25, 50, or 75 miles instead. We will need volunteers to help stuff packets before the event, load aid station trucks, give out rider packets, help at the aid stations, provide medical assistance, and more. Please go towww.volunteersignup.org/FWBA8 for the full list of volunteer positions.
