HBL is partnering with Jack Johnson to provide bike valet at his concert August 4th and 5th at the Waikiki Shell. As part of Jack’s tour, they’re doing the All At Once campaign to partner with local organizations wherever they go to make them stronger and amplify their work. “An individual action, multiplied by millions, creates global change.”
Here in Honolulu, All At Once wants to help support our work and the vision for a more bicycle friendly Hawaii. Your (and Jack’s!) donation goes to support our education, advocacy, and events to get more people bicycling! 2017 has already been a big one – McCully St bike lanes, South St protected bike lanes, Ala Napunani St buffered bike lanes, and thousands taking to the new Biki system. Together, we’re building a bicycle friendly community! Donate today to help make us stronger.
Help out with Bike Valet team. It’s as simple as it sounds – check-in people’s bikes, watch their rides while they’re in the concert and chat people up on HBL and cycling. We’ll get a cool Jack Johnson volunteer t-shirt, food, and have a background music of the concert. All shifts are full expect for:
* – Saturday, 8/5 7:00-11:00pm
Concert Ticket Raffle & Results
Jack awesomely provided us with 4 pairs of tickets to his concert. We raffled these off for those who donated $25 or more or committed to volunteering at the bike valet by 7/31. (Sorry, the tickets are gone – but Jack is still matching your contribution to HBL dollar-to-dollar until we hit $2,500).
We brought in a total of $1,727 from 28 contributors, adding with Jack’s match that’s $3,454 to support HBL and our work to build a bicycle friendly Hawaii! On the volunteer front, we filled 15 of 16 volunteer shifts (still one left if you’re up for it!).
Finally, here the lucky winners are:
