Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop Evaluation

Aloha Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop Go-er! Thank you so much for coming out to a workshop put on by the Hawaii Bicycling League. We hope you enjoyed it and are interested in knowing how it went for you (and if you didn’t like it that’s extremely important for us to know as well!).

We would absolutely love your thoughts & feedback on how the workshop you just attended was. Can you spare 2.4 minutes to complete this quick questionnaire? If so, awesome!

The evaluation is completely anonymous, and the information you provide us will help us improve and grow our Educational Program! If you complete the survey, you will be entered into a prize drawing for an a sweet cycling goody bag (email is necessary to contact the winner).

Mahalo for helping us grow and for bicycling in Hawai‘i!

Let’s Start!

Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop Evaluation
Some things to think about - Was it easy to navigate the site? Easy to register? Too many/few questions?
You should have received a couple emails (one with the workshop details and another reminder). These would have gone to the email you registered online with.
Some things to think about - Was it easy to find? Did you have enough space to work?
Some things to think about - Were the instructors professional, safe, respectful, friendly, and encouraging? Did you feel well supported by them?
HBL is the one who put on the workshop you just took! HBL is a local non-profit, and are the only bicycle advocacy organization in O‘ahu. HBL members get 10% off all the bike stores on the island and the fabulous feeling of supporting safer streets in Hawai‘i. More info at HBL.org/join.
What's on your mind? Are there other bicycling topics that you wish you could learn about? Thoughts on workshop location or date/times? Real Talk. Tell us what you really think!

A Little About the BikeEd Program…

The BikeEd Program started in 1989 and our instructors have taught over a hundred thousand fourth graders on Oahu how to ride bicycles safely! The program is normally one week long and runs from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 2:00pm. Instruction follows a set curriculum and includes a safety presentation, on-bicycle instruction on-campus, and two days of on-road instruction. The course goes over basic bicycle safety, how to perform a six-point bicycle safety check, bicycle control, how to properly leave a driveway, and how to make right, left, and U turns. Bicycles, helmets, and safety vests are provided.

For safety purposes, students are required to wear sneakers while cycling. Unfortunately, over the years, we have found that many students across Oahu don’t own shoes due to lack of family resources.

We’re collecting kicks to lend to keiki during the BikeEd week so they don’t miss out on the FUN and EDUCATIONAL week!
