    Haleiwa Metric Century Ride Ride Guide

    The John B. Kelley Haleiwa Metric Century Ride begins and ends in Kaiaka Bay Beach Park on the Northshore of Oahu. Ride at your own pace, all skill levels and ages are welcome.

    The course takes you through Haleiwa Town, then along the shores over Waimea Valley, Sunset Beach, Kahuku, and Kaaawa. The road is mostly flat with a few moderate hills.

     

    Registration Rates

    Register in what Bicycling Magazine called one of the 50 Best Rides in the United States! All early and regular registrations include dry-fit t-shirts. Limited quantities and sizes are available for Late Registrations, registrations at Packet Pickup, and ride morning.

    Frequently asked Questions

    Aid Stations Aid Stations are at Sunset Beach Elementary (25km), Kahuku High School (50km), and Swanzy Beach Park (100km). Snacks, sport drink, and water are provided at each station. Bring your water bottle, there's limited number of cups.

    John B. Kelley Former HBL Board President and HBL Life Member John B. Kelley passed away on May 24, 2006. In 2007, the Haleiwa Metric Ride was dedicated to his tireless efforts, his passion for the Hawaii Bicycling League, and cycling. Read more about John.

    Friendship Ride Leaders Friendship Ride Leader Lead a group of riders on whatever distance you were originally planning to ride. We’ll provide you with a Friendship Ride Leader bib, which let’s other riders know you’ve formed a group and can provide directions and help with minor mechanical adjustments, or call course support for help. Contact Mitchell Nakagawa to sign-up.

    Route Starts in Haleiwa Town at Kaiaka Bay Beach Park at 7:30 am. Course closes at 2:00pm. Ride support and aid stations are staggered for riders leaving at 7:30am from Kaiaka Bay Beach Park.

    Photography Official event photos will be available for purchase at the finish area and online at http://eng.allsports.jp (Password: haleiwa) from May 8 - August 17, 2013.

    Registration Early registration opens online September 1 of the previous year, every year.

    Ride Guide Hardcopies of the Ride Guide are included in your packets.

    Start Riders in the Haleiwa Metric Century Ride and Honolulu Century Ride start in groups with similar riding styles and abilities. This allows all riders to enjoy the ride safely. In both rides, Group A begins first, followed by Groups B, C, and D. There are pauses between each group to allow groups to spread out on the course. View more information.

    T-Shirts All participants who register during Early or Regular registration periods receive a dry-fit t-shirt. Late registrants will receive shirts based on available sizes and quantities.
