[img_assist|nid=865|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=72]Are you tired of waiting for bike lanes on Waialae? Make a difference and tell the city you want them NOW.
On Monday, October 29th, at 7:00PM the City Department of Transportation Service will be holding a public meeting about bike lanes on Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki. The meeting will be held at the Kilauea Gym, at Kilauea and 22nd Avenue. Help pave the way for lanes by attending! The more people we can get to attend and voice support for lanes, the more likely it is that the city will actually do something.
The DOT held a meeting about the lanes last May 2012, and it was attended by about 180 people. Out of the 180, and overwhelming 170 expressed full support for the lanes. Attend the meeting and ask why the lanes still haven't been striped, despite the community's unanimous support--and show your support while there!
Please help us improve this essential stretch of road by attending the meeting and voicing your support for bike lanes and sharrows. Let's show people that bikes belong. Every voice counts!
Our Mission: Getting more people to ride bicycles for health, recreation, and transportation by making Hawaii's streets safer through advocacy, education, and events since 1975.
