For Immediate Release
Complete Streets = safe streets for all - pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and motorists.
Honolulu, Hawaii -- Our movement for complete streets on our island starting with Waialae Avenue has mobilized the community and helped DTS push closer to realizing the project. Through multiple showings of strong community support we have gotten the official support of both City Council Members from the area and the Kaimuki Neighborhood Board!
Join us at the Diamond Head/Kapahulu/St. Louis Neighborhood Board to demonstrate that the community wants complete streets for everyone and we want them to start with Waialae Avenue now! We are on the schedule and will be asking for their official support for bike lanes on Waialae Avenue!
* 7pm, Wednesday (Oct 12) @ 2106 10th Avenue in the Palolo Elementary School Cafetaria
* 7pm, Thursday (Oct 13) @ 404 Kapahulu Avenue in the Ala Wai Club House
* 7:15pm, Wednesday (Oct 19) @ 3622 Waialae Avenue at Liliuokalani Elementary School
