Community Affairs Committee (CAC)
The CAC is the vehicle in which HBL internally organizes our advocacy efforts. Each year we develop an annual work plan and goals. These goals and polices include legislative efforts, bike projects, coalition building and maintaining relationships.
Purpose:
The CAC is the vehicle in which HBL organizes its advocacy efforts. Each year we develop an annual work plan and submit goals and priorities to HBL's Board of Directors. These goals and polices include legislative advocacy efforts, specific bike projects on the state, city and county levels, coalition building and regular meetings and relationship building with government agencies, federal, state, city and county legislators, law enforcement, etc.
Structure:
The CAC is a committee of the Board of Directors, however participation and leadership is open to HBL members. Committee members should expect a 3-5 hour per month time commitment, including monthly 60 minute meetings.
Get Involved:
If you are interested in serving on the Advocacy Committee or would like to be added to the listserv, contact Chad Taniguchichad@hbl.org, HBL Executive Director.
