a) This is mauka of the intersection of 4 roads (Auloa Road\, Pali Hwy.\, Kamehameha Hwy.\, Kalanianaole Hwy. - find on google maps) known as Castle Junction.
b) Don’t confuse this with Castle Hospital\, which is 4 miles makai.
c) Within ~100 yards of the meeting spot are\: Pali Golf Course\, HPU\, the Castle office\, and the back road to Maunawili (makai section of Auloa Rd.).
d) The bicycle group will be visible from Pali Hwy. at the start.
e) If coming from Honolulu\: 1) catch the bus\, or 2) park on Auloa Rd. or surrounding area – do not leave valuables in vehicle.

Time\:
Meet 8\:30 a.m. Depart 8\:45 a.m.

Route\:
60 minutes to get up to Pali Lookout\, then cycle towards Honolulu on Pali Hwy until Nuuanu Valley Park for short restroom break and refill. Turn around and return to Pali Lookout via Nuuanu Pali Drive/Pali Hwy. Descend toward the beginning and depending on group\, either bear right to end at the beginning\, or bear left to reach Hoomaluhia Park towards Kaneohe. Total time\: 3-4 hours.

Bring\:
Mountain bike with reliable brakes\, low (granny) gearing. (Hybrid and road bikes are ok too\, but going up is a steep climb). Helmet\, water\, snacks\, wind/rain gear depending on weather.
