If you're a resident of Kaka'ako, you probably know how bad some of the neighborhood's roads are, and just how great things could be. Between the outdoor area around Ala Moana Beach Park, and the shops, restaurants, and movie theater at Ward, there's a lot of foot traffic. While the roads around the Diamond Head side of Ward Ave. are among the smoothest in town, the streets toward downtown are a pothole-filled, sidewalk-missing mess. Read more »

140 people attended the meeting at the Kilauea Gym Monday, October 29th, approximately 120 of whom supported bike lanes on Waialae! People spoke overwhelmingly in favor, and the City answered concerns of Palolo Valley residents regarding slower commuting times. At the end of the meeting (9 pm) City Department of Transportation Services Director Wayne Yoshioka stated that the City would proceed with the Waialae bike lane project. Read more »
