Heavy Breathers Ride
- Start time: 09:00am
- End time: 03:00pm
- Fun, casual ride from Waikiki Playground to Makapu'u Beach Park and back for a 30 mile ride. Part of group continues on to Kailua for lunch, then returns via coastal route to Waikiki (distance of 50 miles). We'll regroup along the route to be sure that no one is left behind!
  
  Meet at Waikiki Playground, corner of Leahi Ave and Monsarrat Ave, near Waikiki Elementary School at 9 am and be ready to roll at 9:15 am.
  
  Group to Makapuu is usually back by 12:30, and those that go to Kailua are back
  by 3 pm.

Haleiwa Metric Century Ride, Sunday April 27 2014

961 riders got their ﬁll of sun, sand and surf from the best vantage point on Sunday – a bicycle!

Department of Parks and Recreation Deputy Director Jeanne Ishikawa saw the record setting crowed off from Kaiaka Bay Beach Park at 7:30am.

A portion of the proceeds from the ono plate lunches benefited Waialua Elementary School, one of Oahu’s public schools where Hawaii Bicycling League runs its popular BikeEd Hawaii program.

Join us next year on for a beautiful ride in Haleiwa, Sunday April 27, 2014. Early registration will be on September 1, 2013.

Weed Circle Clean-Up Sunday March 24

Join us Sunday, March 24 at Weed Circle in Haleiwa for our annual community clean-up! Each year, volunteers help clear rubbish and cut back plants in Haleiwa. The North Shore community are strong supporters of the Haleiwa Metric Century Ride.

Volunteers should bring gloves and, if you have them, picks, shovels, or clippers. Lunch and water is provided. Please email Mitchell at mitchell@hbl.org to RSVP. Read more »

Did you know that as a beginner commuter you can find guidance through our Commuter Mentor Program? We have a host of people that would love to have you tag along on their route. Our commuter mentors open their daily bike rides up to the community, so beginners can join them. They'll show you the best route from A to B and show you how to ride it safely. We have people that ride all over the island, so there's sure to be someone that at least partly matches your route. Read more »
